Home System (20-140W)
This is the bottom of the range, it is basically
a low cost option for people that do not have access
to mains electricity and is aimed to provide power
for low power lights and a fan or low power radio
or TV.
The base unit consists of the following:
1 Solar Panel (size 18 or 20W)
1 Charge controller
1 Battery
1 Solar Panel Stand
1 Battery and controller box
The solar panel stand is made of steel with a hammerite
coating to prevent rusting in adverse weather. A pole-mounted
panel can be supplied if required.
The battery box is also made of steel with hammerite
coating. The box has adequate ventilation vents, carrying
handles and is sized to take the largest batteries
being offered with this product. The battery box is
also be supplied with DC output plugs and a standard
auto style voltmeter.
The battery is a deep cycle flood battery, not an
automotive battery.
A number of additional products will be in this family,
basically based on a larger solar panel, a larger
battery size and an AC option using a range of inverters.
Additional solar panels can be provided to a range
from 18W to 220W.
Battery range is from 48AH to 100AH.
An optional inverter can be provided and possible
ranges are from 150W, 250W and 400W
A wind generator is available as a further option.
